Call for Proposals to the Indigenous Theatre Fund

The Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and the Australia Council for the Arts, the Australian Government's arts funding and advisory body, are pleased to announce a Call for Proposals to the Indigenous Theatre Fund, which offers a total of $259,000 for distribution in 2010.

Proposals are being invited from artists and arts organisations to develop Indigenous theatre initiatives that invigorate and strengthen Indigenous theatre practice in Queensland.  The deadline for proposals is 30 November 2009.

The Fund was established following a state-wide consultation process with Indigenous communities. To view the Indigenous Theatre Consultation Outcome Report, and the funding guidelines, please visit the Arts Queensland website at http://www.arts.qld.gov.au/ or email info@arts.qld.gov.au or telephone (07) 3224 4896.

Arts Queensland would like to thank the many people who gave generously of their time and thoughts throughout the consultation process.
